Tree Removal Permit Required: Yes

Permit Details: Any hardwood or pine tree 6″ Diameter at Breast Height (DBH) or larger requires a permit regardless of health status or species.

Other Information: A Landscape Disturbance Plan is required for removal of healthy trees provided they are not located in the setback. Tree Protection and Planting Plans are required prior to removing any trees related to site development and are subject to City Arborist approval. Requires orange and yellow sign postings.

Trees on Private Property: All commercial and residential properties must adhere to tree density requirements which are set by zoning. You may be required to replant trees if the removal of healthy trees results in a drop in tree density below the requirement.

Trees on Public Property: Removal of trees on public property e.g. public rights-of-way, requires approval from the Arborist within the City Parks Department. Removal of healthy trees on public property requires inch-for-inch replacement of the tree.
